On Saturday evening, March 29, 2025 (29th of Ramadan 1446 AH), Saudi Arabia continues efforts to observe the Shawwal crescent moon, aiming to determine the start of Eid Al-Fitr, amid challenging weather conditions.<\/p>\n

According to the latest updates:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Heavy rainfall is currently reported at Hail Observatory, making crescent sighting nearly impossible.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, cloud cover dominates the skies over Tumair and Sudair, two of the Kingdom\u2019s most critical moon-sighting locations.<\/p>\n

Despite the adverse weather, sighting committees remain active across various regions of the Kingdom, hoping for improved conditions in other areas. An official announcement from the Supreme Court is expected later this evening.<\/p>\n

Astronomical forecasts had earlier suggested that moon sighting would be difficult tonight, making Monday, March 31, the most likely date for Eid Al-Fitr. However, the final decision will depend on authenticated crescent sightings.<\/p>\n
